Aero-Tow is proud to announce we have acquired the manufacturing and distribution rights for the RAY J Towbar.
Designed and patented by Ray Johnson of Buffalo, MN, this towbar allows one person to easily attach to the nose gear of the aircraft for towing with an independently powered unit such as an ATV, lawn tractor, or golf cart.
The model 500 is 9' 6"
long, and heavier built for aircraft up to 18000 lbs. Fits Cessna 400
series, Citation, Beech Jet, Lear Jet, and others.
The model 200 is 7' 6"
long, and designed for the single engine Cessna.
The model 100 is 7' long and
especially designed for the Cirrus Aircraft, but by changing the couplings it
will fit several other Aircraft. Call for Details.
As pictured in these photos the articulating arms movement is controlled by the operators right hand moving a slide bar from left to right on the towbar handle. The left photo shows the arm in the closed position. The right photo in the open position. It is easy to operate from a standing position in front of the aircraft, and self locking due to the screw drive mechanism.
