TowbarsTradeshowsIn 1994 Terry Railing made a condolence call to the Widow Rohlwing. Kathy accepted his kind offer of assistance (I can clean gutters, but I don't do mice!) and the two became friends. Six years later they were married at a family ceremony in the Fergus Chapel on the grounds of the EAA museum, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. As the courtship evolved, so did Terry's business, Aero-Tow. All family members have contributed toward the growth of the company in one form or another - assisting during Terry's back surgery in 2000, helping renovate our current building, delivering machines, and helping at trade shows.
Terry Railing has over 30 years experience as a tool
and die model maker. He is also a bonded locksmith. He was a partner
in the Chapter 2 tool shop that originally manufactured the Gettelman LugBug.
Terry owned and operated the Lake Mills True Value Hardware for 13 years before
launching the Aero-Tow manufacturing business. Terry designs and
manufactures the Lil Sherman and "E" series tugs.
Kathy Railing has a degree in Computer Operations and is currently the AS400 System Administrator for Wis-Pak, Inc. in Watertown, WI. She has many years experience in accounting, finance, and agriculture. Kathy handles Aero-Tow's accounting, computer operations, and designs the web page and advertising brochures.
They say there are two things in life we can give our children, one is Roots, the other is Wings. Sandi and Lisle Rohlwing [son & daughter-in-law] who have been an important part of Aero-Tow for the past three years have spread their wings. Lisle accepted a position in R&D at Columbia Par Car in Reedsburg and the family is moving to that area. Sandi is now employed by Seats, Inc. in Reedsburg. We wish them well.
